Susquehanna University Design Students Tour ITP

April 2019

ITP had some college visitors this past month.  Sales Executive, Erik Lagaza, welcomed and toured a group of graphics design majors and Susquehanna University graphics design professor, Amanda Lenig.  The group toured ITP’s various print departments and mailing and fulfillment and observed demos in offset printing, digital design printing, and the large format department.

“The goal of the visit was to expose our senior design majors to the ins and outs of commercial and large format printing. Their only experience has been what we’ve told them thus far in the classroom.  Seeing it really does change how they think of the work they will be doing as professionals and their relationships with the printers.  My hope is that this jump starts good partnerships and understanding with any printers they will use in the future…plus it’s just super cool!” said Amanda Lenig, Susquehanna University Design Professor.

Here’s what one of the students had to say.  LeighAnn M. shared “Our visit to ITP was really interesting. It was helpful to learn about the different processes of printing so that we can know the capabilities and the appropriate ways to design things in the future.”

Each of the visitors was given a personalized Susquehanna University sign that they observed being printed, personalized and cut in ITP’s Large Format Department.
