Holiday Marketing Strategy & Case Study

Each year, ITP takes on a unique branding initiative as part of our holiday giving for our clients. We want to let our clients know how much we appreciate their business, and to thank them for being our friends, as well as valued customers. The ITP holiday card and the gift of a local confectionary treat is our main focus and holiday candy bar wrappers, themed gift tags and custom gift boxes adorn the candies. All of our holiday print items carry out a theme of “snowy winter village” and spotlight our commercial and digital print services and demonstrate specialized printing applications.  This year, we focused on the use of textured UV finishing which provides a glittery glow around the street lamps on our holiday card. We also added our holiday wish in beautiful red foil lettering.

Project Goals:

  • An opportunity to thank ITP customers, clients and vendors with a gift focused on unique printing elements that elicit a response.
  • Demonstrate a cohesive design and branding strategy with a holiday theme across different collaterals.
  • Showcase our commercial and digital printing capabilities and exceptional print quality as well as our design and marketing services provided by ITP’s graphic designers and our experienced print production team.
  • In addition, our clients receive a desktop jewel case calendar that was printed on ITP’s digital press. This year’s calendar features beautiful local photos taken by a local Penn State University student. The calendar serves as a reminder of partnering with ITP throughout the year.

Paper, Finishes & Details:

Our holiday cards are printed on 18 pt. Neenah Folding Board Ultra White, in 4-color process with a red foil stamp of select lettering, to make the card more festive and upscale.  Crystal Cote gold glitter textured UV was added at the top of the street lamps on the card to give the lights a glowing appearance. The snowy town theme was carried through on A6 envelope printed in 4-color on both the front and on the back flap. Matching holiday gift tags were printed on the same paper and included the same branding with the design scaled down for the 3 x 3 ½ inch hole-punched tag.

ITP’s custom gift boxes were printed on 18 pt. Neenah Folding Board Ultra White as well.  The holiday design from the card was carried over to the box.  The background snow-covered village design was repeated around the sides of the box to beautifully wrap the printable areas of the box.

Our company name was printed on white gloss permanent adhesive stickers in 4-color process.  Stickers were printed to rolls for easy peel and stick to any gift. ITP uses these labels on mailers to clients during the holidays and on our Wilbur Bud chocolate 1lb. gift bags.
